Day 1: Khiva - Darwaza
09:00 Drive to the Turkmenistan border point Shavat-Dashoguz (go through formalities on both checkpoints). Cross 1.5 km the neutral zone (minibus available as a transfer between borders for 1 USD). With your invitation letter you will be able to get your Turkmenistan visas at the border.
Please note: Depending on the number of people waiting to cross the border you will need to wait up to one or two hours, also be prepared to be thoroughly searched.
On the Turkmenistan side of the border, our driver and guide will meet you and drive to Darwaza gas crater located in the middle of Karakym desert. Enjoy the dinner upon arrival. Overnight in Yurts.
Day 2: Darwaza - Ashgabat
Breakfast in the Yurt camp.
Drive to Ashgabat by passing Mud and Water crater.
Arrive in Ashgabat and check-in the hotel. Have a rest.
16:00 Start sightseeing. Visit National Museum, Independence Park, Nautrality Arch, and Ferris Wheel.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Ashgabat - Mary
Breakfast at the hotel.
10:00 Start sightseeing tour. Visit Old Nissa Fortress, Spiritual Mosque, National Memorial Complex, Earthquake memorials. Have a lunch. After lunch visit Ahalteke Horse Hippodrome.
Drive to Mary. Arrive in Marry and check-in the hotel. Free time.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Mary - Merw - Turkmenabat - Bukhara
Breakfast at the hotel.
Start sightseeing tour. Visit local Central Bazaar, Juma Mosque, and the Russian-Orthodox Church.
Drive to Ancient Merw. Arrive in Merw and check all sights around. Transfer to the BP Farab/Alat border via Turkmeabat. Arrive to the border and cross it.
On the Uzbekistan side of the border, our driver will meet you and drive to Bukhara.
Drop off at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Transfer services from/to borders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are included.
