Here are the most dangerous tourist destinations in 2025: Afghanistan, Syria, Ukraine, Mali and Iraq.

Afghanistan has been identified as potentially the most dangerous country in the world to visit in 2025 according to recently published Risk Map 2025.

Medical and security specialist International SOS named Syria the second-most dangerous destination to visit this year, followed by Ukraine, Mali and Iraq. Ukraine has been upgraded to "extreme risk" after getting invaded by Russia in February, 2022.

Other nations whose security risk was also categorised as "extreme" include Central African Republic, Somalia, Yemen, and South Sudan, as well as certain areas of Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Pakistan, Mozambique and Israel.
