Letter of Invitation to Iran (Visa Authorization Code)

Visitors to Iran must obtain a visa from one of the Iranian diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries or countries eligible for a visa on arrival. All visitors must hold a passport valid for at least six months. Iranian visas are issued in a two-step process:

Step 1:
An authorisation code for your visa must be issued by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Step 2:
A visa for your passport must then be obtained through an Iranian Embassy (or obtain visa on arrival)

An authorization code is a letter of approval of your Iran visa application. This is a 2-page PDF file and is also known as the “Iran Visa Grant Notice”, “Iran Letter of Invitation”, “Iran Visa Approval”, “Iran Visa Reference Number”, or “Iran Visa Tracking Code”. 

How to Get the Iran Authorisation Code/Visa Grant Notice?

There are two options to get your visa approval:

1. Apply online directly on the MFA e-visa website
2. Apply through authorized Iranian travel companies.

Statistical records show that the rejection rate for direct individual applications are high and in case of approval, it will take between 2 to 8 weeks for the MFA to issue your Iran visa grant notice.

If you choose the second option you can be confident that they will get your visa approval for sure and in the quickest time possible.

To get a Letter of Invitation to Iran (Visa Authorization Code), please do the following:

1. Fill out Iran Visa Support/Letter of Invitation (LOI) Form: Download Form
2. Email us a good quality scan of your passport;
3. Email us a good quality of your photo;

Once we have received all above required documents and payment, we will submit your documents for approval by the Iranian authorities. The approval period is about 2-3 business days.

*The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran reserves the right to deny any application without providing explanations. Once the invitation process has started, no refund for any result of the process (rejection, delay, etc.) to be provided will be given.
